So earlier we were looking at transmission fluid and the A/C Compressor on the Mustang. Well while we were doing the transmission fluid my dad had me go through the gears. Well I found out that I can fit comfortably in the drivers seat in the position it was in. In the passenger seat back maybe two inches further than yesterday my knees were still hitting the dash and glovebox. I wish I could drive it. Also our A/C compressor is broken, clutch on it isn't working. Yay! It doesn't bother me but others it kind of does.

I can't believe how unreliable magnetic AC Clutches are. They should outlast the compressor in theory, but almost never do.

Are you sure it's just not low on refrigerant which is why the clutch isn't engaging.

Yeah, when the AC is on it basically just blows hot air all over you, it's uncomfortable but I can deal with it. Car's also 20 y/o but it only has like 77,012 on it, just hit 77,000 today.

We looked at the thing and it was at like 110 psi in the red.

Too much will also cause it not to engage. What year?

Was that high or low side?

For the pressure or the location in the engine? It was on the right side closer to the oil dipstick or where you put oil in.

That's high side, do you hear the compressor kick on at all?

No, it didn't. I was in the car and my dad said it didn't

You probably have a bad low or high side pressure switch. Try disconnecting the negative battery cable for a few minutes then see if you can get it to click on. If not.
I would start with the 2 connector switch on the low side near the accumulator. Short out the connection if it clicks on you have a bad switch.

The car has a new battery this year, but I'll try to look at that. It's raining so can't do anything at the moment.
